Talking about different nail issues

👣One of the most frequently reported nail issues is having rough, splitting nails that crack easily. Brittle nails or onychoschizia, are usually caused by the continuous cycle of wetting and drying of your fingernails, wearing gloves while getting your hands wet would help to prevent this. This can occasionally be a symptom of an iron deficiency or hypothyroidism.
👣A peeling nail is likely the result of damage to the nail’s surface, such as from misusing your nail as a tool or removing artificial nail polish. If your hands are left in steamy water for too long, your nails may also peel. Ask yourself, is the skin on your toes peeling as well? That can help you determine if the reason is inside or exterior. If so, an internal issue like a lack of iron may be to blame. Otherwise, it’s likely external.
👣Soft nails snap or flex before breaking easily. Overexposure to chemicals or moisture may result in soft nails; cleaning agents and nail products. A lack of fatty acids, calcium, iron, or B vitamins may also be linked to weak nails.
👣Ridges on your fingernails that resemble tiny horizontal or vertical waves or vertical ridges that extend from the tip of your fingernail to the cuticle typically develop later in life. They often aren’t a reason for alarm as long as they aren’t accompanied by additional symptoms like color changes. Beau’s lines, or horizontal ridges, can indicate kidney disease or some underlying problem.
